Voices from Exile

Tue, 4 October, 2022 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Voices From Exile flyer

The government of Colombia ended a 50+ year conflict with the FARC left-wing guerrillas in 2016. As a result, several institutions were put in place to handle the transition. One of these is the Colombian Truth Commission, CEV for its Spanish acronym. Our main speaker, Carlos Beristain, a former Commissioner of CEV, will be discussing the Exile chapter of the CEV Final Report accompanied by a conversation with two survivors led by Cristina Espinel.  Elvira María Restrepo will give a brief context of the process and moderate the panel.
