Signature Programs
Gil and Jacki Cisneros' original vision to help students apply to and succeed in a college environment has grown to include a series of signature programs tailored to amplify the success of Hispanics/Latinos at the pre-college, undergraduate, graduate, early career, and executive levels.
Caminos al Futuro
Caminos al Futuro is a fully funded, pre-college and residential summer program led by George Washington University's Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute. To be eligible, you must be a rising senior at a U.S. high school with a high-level of academic achievement and a demonstrated commitment to leadership in service of the Latino/Hispanic community.
Cisneros Scholars
Every year, approximately 10 students are chosen from the incoming class at GW to be Cisneros scholars based on academic achievement, demonstrated commitment to service, and potential for leadership in service of the Latino community.
Foundations of Latino Leadership
The Cisneros Hispanic Leadership Institute works with nonprofit, government, and corporate partners to create and implement custom leadership and professional development programs grounded in academic research and best practices for uplifting traditionally marginalized groups, especially Latinos.
"There really is no one mold for a Cisneros Scholar; I believe that it is our dedication to academics and community service that distinguishes us from other students."
